Visit with Uncle J and Tia Annita

My brother and sister-in-law had a layover in Dallas this weekend. I picked them up from the airport and took them to lunch. Camryn had a birthday party to go to, so it was just Madison, my mom, and me!! It was good seeing them. We haven't seen them since Madison was born!

We love you guys!! Enjoy your trip to Buenes Aires!

Pumpkin Patch

Saturday after Camryn's dance class, we headed to the pumpking patch. Nana Debs (my mom) came along with us. We also met up with some friends! It was lots of fun and always great photo opps!! Camryn got to feed the animals. She prefers to feed the small goats. She said the cows wanted to eat her!! We also went on a hayride, jumped in the bounce house, had a picnic lunch, and took some pictures!

Frisco Safety Town

Friday night, we went with some friends to trick or treat at the fire station. They
have this little mini town next to it. It was crazy packed. Camryn had so much fun trick or treating. She loved getting candy!

Sorry for slacking

Here are a few pics from the last week or so. We have been working on our kitchen cabinets. It is such a slow process since we don't have very much time to devote to them. We have primed all the cabinets and are almost done sanding them. Then we have to clean, sand, prime, sand, and paint the inside!! I am so ready for this project to be over with.
We also moved both girls into the same room to make the other room a playroom. I was so tired of looking at toys. So far, naps have been terrible but bedtime has worked. At least I have my house back, right??
Madison is working on crawling, I guess!! She gets up on her hands and toes...too cute!!

Update on Miss Madison

First of all, she is back to her old self today. Yesterday, she slept all day. I had to wake her up to feed her, and she would go back to sleep. Today she is playing and smiling. It feels so good to have my baby back.

I heard from the doctors office. She has a boderline urinary tract infection. They want me to continue the antibiotics. They told me to bring her in any time she has an unexplained fever so they can check her for a UTI. They said if she has another one, they will do a full work up to see why she is getting them. Poor thing...hopefully there is nothing wrong down there!! Let's just hope we can keep from getting another infection!

Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers!

Getting better

Madison made it through the night without fever. I guess we are getting better. She appears to be her old Madi self again...she is smiling and laughing this morning. She even got mad at me because I tried to feed her yogurt again. So far, yogurt is the only food she has refused. I'll update when I hear back from the doctors office about the urine culture!

My poor baby

Madison had a temp of 103.7 today.

All day yesterday I thought she was warm. She acted fine though, so I figured it was her teeth. (I took her to the doctor last week to have her ears checked because she kept pulling at them. They were fine, but the doctor said her gums were swollen due to teething.) This morning when I went to pick her up, she was HOT. I took her temp, 102.4. I called the doctor because she was supposed to get a flu shot in the morning, and I knew that wouldn't be happening now. The nurse encouraged me to bring her in. I decided to see how the day went. Madison was pretty happy and normal at this point. I ran errands all day, and Madison slept. At 2:45 I got her out of the car seat after picking up Camryn, and she was on FIRE. 103.7. I give her tylenol, grab a wash cloth, wet it, throw it on her head, put on cartoons so Camryn will quit bugging me, and call the doctor. The appointment was in an hour. I call my mom to come watch Camryn since it was time for Camryn to take a nap (she naps after MDO). I admit, I was a little panicked at this point. My poor baby.
The doctor said physically she looked great. Since she is only 7 months old and that is a high fever, we decided to do a work up. The nurses came in and pricked her finger. Madison screamed. They put a Dora band aid on. She was fascinated, screaming stopped. Then, I had to strip her down so they could cath her for a urine sample. Madison stared at her band aid the whole time. She could care less that they were totally violating her!!
The results are back...the blood work is normal. There are no crazy infections, thank God. The urine was a little iffy. The doctor decided to put her on an antibiotic and treat the urine until the culture comes back. I should hear by Friday if it truly is a urine infection. If not, we are off the antibiotics and it is probably a virus. If so, we have to figure out why she got an infection...doctor said that is a whole other conversation. What does that mean??
Pray for my little baby. She is miserable. I will probably be up every few hours giving medicine tonight.

Oh my....

We have officially entered into the "why" phase! Everything you say is followed up with "why mom?" or "why not?" You give an answer. "Why?" Another answer. "Why?" Then you basically just lose all patients you thought you had and say whatever get the questions to stop!!

Here are some pictures of some silly times around the house lately

We are still alive....

It has been crazy over here. My family was up here after Ike, then I got sick, plus we are working on the kitchen, and taking care of kids!! Everything is still going as usual over here. Camryn has been in quite a "mood" lately. Everything is a battle of wills. We have been doing a lot of fighting lately. Miss Madison is 7 months old now. She is just so precious. She is my serious baby. Sometimes, she is all smiles, but sometimes she just stares and checks everything out! She is still just rolling all over the place. She loves to work her way over to Camryn's toys and make Camryn mad. We bought her a jumperoo ( I never got one for Camryn) and she just loves it!! Here are a few pictures of the last few weeks...
