Halloween

So Trick-or-treating didn't work out so great at our house! I had a playdate for some of Camryn's friends earlier in the day. After that, I couldn't get Camryn down for a nap. She decided she wanted to play the get out of bed game...over and over again. She finally fell asleep at 5pm...I started trying at 1pm!! We were supposed to meet at my friends house at 5:30! I finally woke her up around 7pm. She at dinner outside with us while we passed out candy. She kept saying "costume" so I kept asking if she wanted to put hers on. Her response was always no. Same to going trick-or-treating. I guess she was content passing out candy to other kids. At one point, a teenager came up with a scary mask on...Camryn gasped and covered her eyes! It was too cute! We did go on a walk about 8:30 so she could look at the houses decorated! Then it was bedtime. I was disappointed. I was really looking forward to taking her trick-or-treating this year. I keep telling myself that I will have MANY years of trick-or-treating, so it is no big deal! Hopefully next year will be better!

Big Girl Bed

We moved Camryn to her big girl bed this past weekend, and she did great! I just knew it was going to be a long sleepless weekend. I thought she would get out of bed and play with her toys or wake up screaming because she is in a new room. She went right to sleep and didn't wake up or get out of bed once. She even played in bed for a while the next morning. She won't get out of bed until I go in there! Now I keep wondering when it is going to click that she can get out...surely it can't stay this good! Chad couldn't understand why I was so emotional about this...he thinks I'm nuts! I'm sure some of it it hormones, but my little girl is not a baby anymore! She is in a real bed and the pacy is gone!! At least she's not potty trained yet...that would be too much for me to handle! Although, I guess that's next!

Playdate at the Arboretum

I took Camryn to the Arboretum on Friday to meet up with some friends! The weather was absolutely perfect...sunny, but cool! Camryn had so much fun. We started off in the pumpkin patch. She loves to sit on the pumpkins-only problem is she sits with her back to the camera! I would walk around to the other side to get a shot, and she would turn around again! That little girl sure knows what she's doing! After all the pumpkin pictures I could stand, we ventured over to a grassy area to let the kids run. We laid out the blanket and had a picnic. Camryn and her friends LOVE to run and chase each other...it is their favorite thing to do! They also have to scream as loud as they can! After lunch, we attempted to get some pictures of the kids with the flowers. Camryn was pulling all the flowers...I was waiting for someone to come kick us out. When I would tell her to stop she would just move further away from me and keep doing it....oh the joys of toddlers!!
