The help has gone home

Let's just say our first week together was a little challenging because I managed to get sick with a cold! I guess having a toddler, a newborn, and little sleep will do a number to your immune system! It really hasn't been that bad! I just feel bad for Camryn. Luckily, she had school 2 days a week, and she went to her friend Lexie's house for a playdate on Friday!
Camryn still loves her baby sister! She loves to give her big hugs and kisses! She also loves it when I put Madison on the floor because then she can lay down beside her and play with her. Camryn gets in her face and talks/sings. When Madison cries and gets upset we have to sing her the Barney song to make her "all better"!! I love watching them together! However, I miss my sweet little girl! I don't know if Camryn has just become a typical 2 year old, or if she is getting me back for bringing home a baby! Everything has become a challenge. I feel like I spend most of my day saying no to Camryn! I try to have fun play time with her so that all the attention she gets isn't negative! Even fun time ends up not being so much fun! I keep telling myself that this will pass!
Miss Madison is doing pretty good! She still eats and sleeps all the time! She had not gained her birthweight back at her 2 week appointment, which isn't very good! The doctor wasn't THAT concerned about it. He told me not to lose sleep over it...easy to say doc! I have an appointment with the lactation consultant today to see if she is getting enough to eat! Breastfeeding is so stressful! You have no idea how much they are getting. She seems happy and satisfied, but she hasn't gained enough and she doesn't poop much! I guess we'll see later today!

Baby Madison is Here!!!!

Madison Paige Riley was born February 25, 2008 at 12:57pm. She was 7lbs 13oz and 20in long! Everyone is healthy and doing great!
