Memorial Day Weekend

We decided to paint our house instead of having fun this weekend! My mom and mother in law came to help! It actually went by really fast, and I am so glad it is done. We still have to paint our dining room and one wall in the living room. Then, I want to paint and glaze our kitchen cabinets! We did manage to have a little fun...we took Camryn in the evenings to the park by our house. There is a playground and a splash pad. She loves running from the water to the playground and back. She had so much fun. I have to admit that I had fun too, running around like a little kid through the water!!

Madison was also 3 months this weekend. She is starting to "talk" a lot now. She just loves to carry on conversations. She is also blowing bubbles and starting to drool a lot. She still mainly loves to sleep and eat!

I'll post pictures later...Madison is hungry!

Madison and Camryn

Madison is almost 3 months now! Time is going by so fast! Since I haven't posted in a while so here are some updates. At 2 months she weighed 10 pounds!! She got her first shots and was very brave! She only cried for a few minutes. She is much more alert and awake now. She loves to sit and watch everyone and smile at them! She also loves her sleep. Camryn used to sleep anywhere, but Madison has to be in a quiet room. She absolutely hates "tummy time" and screams! She never really cries unless she gets really tired or I am forcing her to do her "tummy time" like a mean mommy! We moved her from the basinet in our room to her crib in her room! She doesn't seem to notice at all. She sleeps like a champ...from 7pm to about 5am. After her 5am feed, she sleeps again until around 7am when Camryn usually wakes her up!

Camryn is 2.5 almost. It brings tears to my eyes thinking about how fast she is growing up! She is her sweet playful self at home, but she has started a new shy "thing" when we go out. It all started when my friends and I took all the girls to Rain Forest Cafe. We thought the girls would love it. It looks like the rain forest and has animals. I didn't realize the animals move and make noise. It is very loud in there! When we first got there, the crocodile came out of the water as if it was going to attack Camryn. She was terrified from that moment on. Our table was right next to the elephants and monkeys. She wouldn't open her eyes the whole time and kept crying. Of course, Madison is screaming too because she is hungry. I'm torn between one kid that is terrified and one that is starving! I finally managed to feed Madison while someone else held Camryn. Anyways, we eventually decided this wasn't a good place to eat lunch and left. I think Camryn learned that if she cried and acted like a baby, she got lots of attention. She does this now when we leave the house. I take her to school and she clings to my leg with her head down. I admit, I fell for it the first day. I thought she wasn't feeling well and brought her home for the day. She has NEVER done this before. She was fine the minute we got home. She pulled it again the next week at school. Then again when we go to her friends houses! I have learned to just ignore it! It is hard though. Every ounce of me wants to scoop her up and baby her because she will forever be my baby! Today I left her at school face down on the floor. I then went outside and watched her...she eventually got up and started playing! It is funny how kids learn at a young age to work us to get what they want!
